Job overview

CGS Trust requires an experienced Disadvantaged Student Teacher/Mentor with a minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience. Your may have experience of working with vulnerable students in a number of contexts. You will be expected to help develop a team approach to supporting disadvantaged students and will have a degree in a core subject and a commitment to attaining QTS. You will be co-ordinating work of intervention tutors in the school and supporting the school’s literacy programme. You will work with the Disadvantaged Student Support Team to engage with the local Community and parents.

You will be passionate about improving the life chances of Disadvantaged Students; be hard working and resilient.

Colston’s Girls’ School (CGS) is the flagship school of the CGS Trust, a multi-academy Trust formed in 2012 which seeks to provide outstanding education for its pupils. Currently the Trust comprises of five schools – CGS, the Dolphin School, Kingfisher School, Fairlawn School and Bannerman Road Community Academy – with a vision to expand further over the coming period.
