King Edward’s School is seeking to recruit a creative, well-organised person with a background in Art and Design who has a good eye for detail for the role of Display Assistant. This role is intended to ensure that all areas of the school are enlivened by multi-media displays which showcase the very best, vibrant activities undertaken by KES pupils.

The successful candidate must have an artistic background, be very creative and proactive to get displays finished in a timely manner. You must also be able to follow instruction and have great attention to detail.

This is a part-time position working 25 hours per week for 36 weeks of the academic year (plus INSET days). There will be some flexibility in the weekly working pattern for a suitably experienced applicant.

King Edward's School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check. A copy of the Schools' Recruitment, Selection and Disclosure Policy is available on the School website.

If you have any general questions about the role, please contact Becky Smith, HR Manager via recruitment@kes.org.uk.

Applications should comprise the following:

• A completed application form (available to download from www.kes.org.uk/jobs)

• A short covering letter (no more than two pages). This should explain your interest in the role, and highlight how you might stand out from other candidates in meeting the most important requirements of the person specification as set out earlier in this brief (not just why you could do the job but why you would be the best candidate).
