Haut-Lac international bilingual school (K-12 with around 600 students) near Vevey (Vaud), Switzerland invites applications from Physics and Science Teachers for IB MYP and DP, to join the school team from mid-August 2021. Candidates who are able to teach either MYP Music, or Mathematics, or DP Chemistry as well as Physics are preferred.
Applicants should be enthusiastic educators with experience of teaching in international schools and have an interest in promoting extra-curricular activities to our students.
Your profile :
- Bachelor in Physics or equivalent title
- A PGCE or teaching certificate;
- Qualified to teach DP Physics and integrated sciences up to MYP5;
- Qualified and able teach either MYP Music, or MYP/DP Mathematics, or DP Chemistry, as well as Physics and Integrated science;
- Mastery of educational technological tools (iPad, distance learning platforms, etc.);
- Teaching experience of the MYP and DP programmes;
- A passionate science educator ;
- Preferred experience of a pastoral role.
Your mission :
- Teaching DP Physics and MYP integrated science in English
- Teaching either DP Chemistry or MYP Music or Mathematics as well as Physics and Integrated Science
- Participating actively in the extracurricular life of the school

Modern facilities at the secondary campus include specialist IT rooms and Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology linked to a laser cutter and plastic former in the tech lab. Saint-Légier-La Chiésaz is located in the canton of Vaud, and has a total population of approximately 5,000.
