Langley Hall Primary Academy opened in September 2011 under the Government’s free school initiative. The teaching of numeracy and literacy are a key priority and is combined with a major focus on the teaching of the Creative Arts. Our school motto ‘Ad Vitam Paramus’ means ‘we are preparing for life’ and we fully embrace the belief that children learn best in an environment where they are happy, challenged, motivated and nurtured. • To provide Dance/Drama of quality, range and depth for all key stages • To provide opportunities for pupils to develop self-esteem, confidence and maturity through their participation in Dance/Drama. • To provide opportunities for pupils to learn about different cultures through Dance/Drama. • To ensure that teaching staff have continued Professional development to keep them up to date with developments in Dance/Drama and support their own creative teaching. • To identify Gifted and Talented children in Dance/Drama and provide them with opportunities to further develop their skills. • To give all pupils opportunities to observe, plan, perform and evaluate dance and drama in action. • To promote and celebrate achievements in Dance/Drama amongst pupils. • To learn about professional performing artists. · And Much Much More …………….
