Job overview

Our schools are experiencing rapid growth and we seek qualified and experienced teachers to join us on our journey to promote a curriculum of excellence here in China. We currently have seven school campuses in and near Shanghai which provide various curriculum pathways for over 20000 students, 4000 of which are international students.

SUIS Wuxi campus exudes a philosophy of “East Meets West” and has a truly international flavour, being only 25 minutes from Shanghai by train. Our campus is modern and well–equipped, as you would expect from a school opened only 3 years ago. Although we are going through tremendous growth, we are fortunate to have a large international staff that is enthusiastic and motivated to help in this exciting process. Our curriculum in the secondary school follows a programme of KS3 (SUIS modified), IGCSE (CIE and AQA) and IBDP with an emphasis on balance and pastoral involvement in tandem with academic progression.

We see both drama and PSHE as fundamental elements to enable our students to find their “voice’. Attached to the English department, this post will be equally divided between the two disciplines and are core subjects of KS3 with the expectation of possible IGCSE options for Drama in subsequent years.

General requirements of applicants:

  1. Qualified teachers, fluent English speaking with excellent verbal and writing skills;
  2. Holding a degree from a recognised institution (Bachelor or above) and a recognised teaching qualification;
  3. With a minimum of two years of relevant teaching experience.

A well-motivated and positive individual is sought for the above post. A teacher who can demonstrate that our profession is a vocation, who is committed to enhancing drama throughout the school, both within the classroom and proactively involved in the extra curricula activities of the school, will receive a favourable response and a skype interview request.
