We are looking to appoint a Curriculum Coordinator for Drama and require someone with all the necessary skills and who sees themselves as a leader of curriculum and of teaching and learning.  We are a relatively small Performing Arts department consisting of Drama and Music who are working hard to ensure our curriculum, teaching and outcomes are consistently outstanding.

• You will have a developed, evidence-based understanding of curriculum.

• You will have proven experience of curriculum development and supporting others to develop their practice.

• You are a passionate and skilled practitioner with proven success at ensuring students make exceptional progress, who shares our belief in instilling a love of drama in all of our students and widening their experiences of the art.

The successful candidate will be supported in their own development through the school’s CPD programmes and can expect many opportunities for enhancing the quality of education for Swanshurst pupils.

Part-time applicants will be considered for the above post.

Ofsted (2017) found pupils at Swanshurst to be “happy, well cared for and that they secure excellent academic and personal outcomes”  and they described the girls as “polite, respectful and courteous”.  Needless to say, we are incredibly proud of them and of all our staff who contribute to the “purposeful learning culture within the school that characterises the work of staff and pupils”

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
