This is an outstanding opportunity to lead and develop Drama in a College which has a rich Drama heritage.  Currently we have alumni who are starring in West End Musicals, including the lead in Hamilton.   We are seeking to appoint an outstanding leader who loves to teach and who is passionate about developing a love for Drama.  This is an excellent opportunity to work in one of the oldest Catholic schools in England and is an excellent foundation for further career progression.

As a faith school Drama is very important to our community.  We are seeking an enthusiastic Drama leader, who can build on the passion shown by the students and develop Arts at a time where many schools are cutting back. We have strong relationships with external partners and there is potential to develop these further.

The successful applicant will be passionate about Drama, well organised, and willing to go the “extra mile” to ensure pupils achieve. We are looking for applicants who are highly motivated and ready to contribute to helping the College as we build on our 2016 Good OFSTED rating.

You must:

  • Be a passionate advocate of Drama who will effectively lead the development of the subject  and contribute to whole school improvement. 
  • Be highly motivated and demonstrate the highest professional standards
  • Be willing to teach across the full age and ability range at age 11-18, including A-level. 
  • Be able and willing to make a full contribution to the life of the school. 
  • Have high expectations of yourself and others 
  • Be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Be flexible and a good team player
