Drama Subject Leader & Teacher of English

There is a vacancy for a committed and dynamic Drama Subject Leader to be based across both sites of the Francis Barber PRU (Tooting & 5 Westdean Close, London SW18 2JX). You will be delivering the Drama teaching across both sites of the PRU to both KS3 and KS4 students (up to GCSE level). In addition you will also hold the role of keyworker to a small group of students and will be responsible for monitoring their progress and well-being. You will be able to deliver English teaching to some pupils.

Francis Barber works with groups of secondary aged pupils who have found education challenging in mainstream schools or who have moved into the borough and are awaiting a school place.

We were inspected by OFSTED in July 2013 and received a GOOD report. There were many outstanding features and were graded outstanding for behaviour and safety. There is a friendly and welcoming ethos and a variety of activities both during the day and after school. These, along with good keyworking, help young people make changes which enable them to be successful in their education.
