The Role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and organised Technician to support our Design Technology Department.
Hours: 37 hours per week
08.00am – 4.00pm Monday – Thursday;
08.00am – 3.30pm Friday
Weeks: 41 weeks per year.
The role will involve:
● Maintenance, servicing and repair of equipment
● Organising and storing of equipment
● Prepare materials for practical lesson
● Providing support in the classroom
● Assisting with classroom demonstrations
● Up-to-date awareness of Health & Safety regulations and codes of practice
● Management of resources and the environment
● Stock checking
● Administration tasks
● The successful candidate will have experience in a Design Technology or construction industry environment and have excellent organisational skills.
● Liaising with classroom staff to ensure workshop is set accordingly
We're looking for you if you have:
● A good standard of education (GCSE Level or equivalent);
● Ability to engage with young people
● Knowledge and interest in design technology
● Knowledge of stock management/maintenance.
● Experience working with machinery
