DT Technician

Ashcroft High School are looking to appoint a full time Design Technology Technician. 

37 hours per week: Monday-Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm and Friday 8.00am – 3.30pm
Term time only plus 5 training days (39 weeks)

The Technology Department is looking to employ a Technician to join our vibrant working environment with newly built workshops purpose built for woodwork, metalwork and electronics.

The successful candidate will be preparing resources for students to use in the classroom ranging from wood, metal, plastics and electronic circuits. They will be maintaining a safe environment for students to work in, and be competent to use a bansaw, circular saw, brazing hearth and a centre lathe. The role will also focus on working with individual and groups in the classroom, under the guidance of the subject teacher. The role also requires the use of ICT, and preparing resources using CAD/CAM.
