Richard Huish College are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic part time Duke of Edinburgh Co-ordinator to organise and deliver all aspects of our Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards Scheme. We have an exceptional reputation of high participation levels in the DofE programmes and value the importance of the skills and attributes that the scheme builds in young people. You will need to demonstrate a proven track record in project management and collaboration and demonstrate excellent communication skills. A recognised Duke of Edinburgh’s Award qualification to lead expeditions such as a Mountain Leader Qualification and First Aid certification are desirable. You must have a positive attitude with the ability to motivate and train volunteers and students alike. Flexibility will be required as the role is seasonal with the summer period being busier than the winter. The role will involve some evening work and most expeditions take place during school holidays or weekends.

·        Salary: SP25 £18.05 per/hr + £100 per day expedition payment

·        Hours: 4-5 hrs per week, plus weekend expeditions, term time only

·        Contract: Part time, permanent

·        Start Date: January 2023

Richard Huish College is a Sixth Form College situated in Taunton, the County town of Somerset. Huish prides itself on its academic excellence and strong reputation across Somerset and the Southwest, it is more than a Sixth Form College, it is a place where students can expand their horizons and develop their futures. Huish is also one of the best Sixth Form Colleges in the country, with strong outcomes and a long history of ‘adding value’ to students.
