As a Dutch Language Acquisition & Literature Teacher for senior school children, you will be responsible for fostering creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills development in our students. You will design and implement a comprehensive Dutch language curriculum that aligns with the IB, encouraging students to explore and express their communication abilities through various mediums and methodologies. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.

Your Profile 

  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Relevant international teaching experience. 
  • Experience of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP). 
  • Experienced in teaching Dutch language and Literature across senior school. 
  • B.A. Degree in Education or other relevant degree with teaching qualification. 
  • Preferred DP Experience. 


Essential 

  • Develop and deliver a stimulating and comprehensive a Dutch language curriculum for senior school students in alignment with the IB teaching standards. 
  • Create and maintain an engaging learning environment that promotes creativity, critical thinking and communication skills. 
  • Analyze and discuss a variety of literary genres, works and theories to broaden their understanding and appreciation of Dutch Literature. 
  • Design and administer assessments to evaluate students' language proficiency and comprehension of literature. 
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the diverse learning styles and needs of senior school students ensures a more inclusive and effective learning environment. 
  • Collaborative with colleagues, parents, and administrators. This can involve participating in professional development, discussing teaching strategies, and addressing student needs collectively. 
  • Familiarity with educational technology and digital resources to enhance teaching methods and facilitates communication with students.
