About the role of Dutch Teacher

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Dutch Teacher for our Senior School. Competent to teach Dutch to B2/C1 level, experience should ideally include teaching in a classroom setting and some experience in teaching children aged 12-18 years. Our class sizes are up to 22 students maximum. Working up to three days per week, this is an ideal opportunity for a ZZPer / Freelancer seeking a professional teaching role while remaining flexible for other work commitments.

Key responsibilities

  • To ensure that objectives for teaching of Dutch as a first or additional/foreign language are delivered
  • To deliver high quality teaching, learning and curriculum development
  • To plan and prepare courses for timetabled classes and groups
  • To monitor and track pupils' achievements at regular intervals
  • To participate in faculty and other meetings which relate to the Senior School curriculum 
  • To consult and liaise with parents and attend meetings (as required) 

Preferred qualifications, skills and experience

  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience classroom teaching in an educational institute
  • Experience teaching students aged 12 - 18 years, or young adults
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills 
  • IT skills
  • Enthusiasm for languages that inspires others
  • Positive and professional manner
