The British International School of Houston is looking to appoint an outstanding English as an Additional (EAL/ESL) Coordinator to inspire, challenge and support our students and staff.
To deliver our high standard of educational excellence, our teachers are experienced, confident, well organised, internationally minded, have a good sense of humour and participate fully in all aspects of school life within and beyond the classroom. We are now looking for a like-minded English as an Additional Language Co-coordinator to join our team.
As a suitably qualified professional you will be able to demonstrate a commitment to a modern, inquiry-based, student-centred approach to education that inspires and engages students. You will have experience of using technology in your classroom to enhance and transform personalised learning. You will be experienced in assessing early English language skills, planning for and facilitating language learning within the mainstream curriculum and/or the Cambridge English courses, with some 1:1 and small group teaching.
As the EAL Coordinator, you will work in partnership with the school’s Primary, Middle and High school teaching teams, in order to develop a program that is truly personalised to the language needs of your students.
