Job overview
The EAL Co-Ordinator post holder will be responsibility for the strategic planning of support and teaching for students with English as an Additional Language.
The role will involve ensuring that the casual admissions process for students arriving in the UK is well planned and ensures relevant adaptions and support in places, involving liaison with external agencies where necessary.
The EAL Co-ordinator will be responsible for joint working across departments, delivery of CPD and the oversight and tracking of high quality intervention for students with EAL. The EAL Co-ordinator will also oversee the role of the EAL Teacher. QTS is desirable, but we will consider those who have been teaching in an unqualified status.
