The Post
In the British Primary Section at Taipei European School, the EAL Coordinator has responsibility for ensuring that the specific English as an Additional Language needs are provided for in an efficient and effective manner. The EAL Coordinator liaises with and manages a team of EAL teachers to ensure that EAL student needs are met. This is achieved in collaboration with other staff members including class teachers, the Additional Learning Needs Coordinator (ALNCO) and the leadership team.  The role will include providing professional guidance in the area of second language acquisition and appropriate in-class and withdrawal support structures in order to secure appropriate provision for affected students.
