What You Can Expect Day-to-Day

The following are the core responsibilities for our teachers:

  • ·      Plan, prepare, and deliver effective EAL lessons tailored to the needs of primary students.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that integrates language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) with content learning.
  • Assess students' language proficiency and track their progress through formative and summative assessments.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters students' confidence and encourages active participation.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support students' overall development and integrate EAL instruction with the general education curriculum.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding students' progress and provide strategies to support language learning at home.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in EAL education and primary teaching.


What it Takes

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated educator motivated by teaching and the lasting impact you'll have on our students. 

Minimum Required:

·     Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification, with an endorsement in EAL or a related area.
  • Previous experience teaching EAL to primary students is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of second language acquisition theories and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a culturally responsive and supportive learning environment.
  • Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom to enhance learning.
