Hartland International School opened in September 2015 and is rapidly developing a reputation for excellence in learning and teaching in Dubai. We provide the best possible education for every child in our care and import the very best practices from independent schools around the globe. We combine a unique blend of academic challenge, enrichment opportunities and pastoral support to target excellence and create a values based community of teachers, children and parents.
Located in the heart of Dubai, in a developing residential community, Hartland’s unique vantage point is the iconic landmark of the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall and Downtown Business area of the city. The school currently operates from Foundation Stage to Year 8 and anticipates natural year on year growth in the secondary section in the coming years. We offer enhanced National Curriculum for England and plan to offer GCSE’s / IGCSE’s, ‘A’ Levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
Though all of our students speak English, over 60% come from homes where English is not the first language. The intellectual capacity of the cohort means that they very quickly adapt and make excellent progress, however, upon entry, some children need that additional support to ensure that they can fully access the curriculum. At this time, we are looking to appoint an experienced EAL Teacher who has worked in a Primary setting. You must have the confidence to plan and deliver lessons to small groups of children across the full age range and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the phonics and handwriting courses in lower primary phase.

The successful candidate will join an experienced and committed staff team and will operate in a school where facilities are of an exceptionally high standard with to ensure the highest quality of delivery.
