Job overview
We are looking to expand our EAL team and need an EAL Teaching Assistant to start from Aug 2022.
Key Responsibilities
• To assist EAL teachers within the ELD classes.
• To support small groups of EAL children within the mainstream classes as directed by classroom teachers.
• To pre-teach and re-teach key concepts taught in class.
• To provide frequent check-ins with EAL students to ensure understanding and check for areas that require further intervention.
• To carry out 1-to-1 ELD intervention sessions to help meet EAL students requirements.
Qualifications
• A relevant English teaching certificate such as TEFL, TESOL, TESL or CELTA
• Minimum 2-4 years experience in a similar position
• Excellent written and spoken English (B2 CEFR level and above)
• Ability to speak more than one language is desirable (ideally Korean, Arabic or French)
