About the School:

  • The Early Learning Centre offers early learning program is a combination of the Reggio Emilia philosophy and the new National Early Years Learning Framework
  • Throughout the year, the four year olds are involved in a Transition to School Program. They visit the Kindergarten classes and become familiar with the Kindergarten teachers through participation in pre-literacy and numeracy activities
  • Encourages individual thinkers with a strong sense of social justice and confidence in their ability to determine their own future
  • Offers employees a stimulating, caring environment in which to work. The community nature of the College extends to its employees, many of whom are long serving staff members
  • Staff are encouraged to attend professional development relating to their specialty area.

About the Location:

Our client school is located in Sydney’s Upper North Shore and is easily accessible by public transport. It is approximately 18 kilometres (11 miles) from the Sydney Central Business District. Wide sprawling blocks, tall tree-lined streets and a happily bustling shopping centre at its heart. 

Recreational facilities includes sporting fields, baseball fields, tennis courts and a skate park. The area offers a range of private and government schools. It is a family orientated neighbourhood. The suburb offers idyllic escape without sacrificing city connectivity.

About You:

In order to be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria;

  • Recognised qualifications in Early Childhood Education 
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an Early Learning      Environment 
  • Current First Aide Certificate including Anaphylaxis and Asthma 
  • Experience in managing an Early Learning Centre, preferably within a wider school context
  • Be eligible to work in Australia (must have a visa)
  • Must be registered or eligible for registration with the New South Wales Education Standards Authority
  • Be registered or be eligible for the New South Wales Working With Children Check registration 
  • Be willing to contribute to co-curricular life and the school community
  • Must be respectful of the school values and ethos
  • Possess and provide appropriate professional reference details
