Job overview

Are you passionate about making a difference for Lambeth’s children?

LEAP is  four years into the delivery of the Big Lottery’s 10 year “ A Better Start “  programme which aims to  improve the life chances of babies and very young children by delivering a significant increase in the use of preventative approaches in pregnancy and the first three years of life. By drawing on the best evidence for interventions in diet and nutrition, social and emotional development and communication and language LEAP is working across the whole early year’s sector in Lambeth.  We are developing a portfolio of early intervention programmes for pregnant women, babies and children 0-3 to ensure that every baby and child has a better start in life.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to become part of a team working within the Communication and Language Development strand.  You will be leading on REAL (Raising Early Achievement in Literacy) a home visiting programme.  You will need to demonstrate extensive experience of leading on best practice for early literacy and working with both parents and practitioners within early education and childcare settings.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and networking skills are also key in order to build and maintain partnerships and engage local communities.

Applications from those seeking a secondment (with agreement from their employer), will be considered.

Funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund.

Closing date: 9am 8 July 2019
