Tes is supporting the appointment of an Early Years (3-7 year olds) SENCo at an independent school based in China.

About the Role

The role of AEN (Additional Educational Needs) Leader requires someone with a deep knowledge of child-centred pedagogy and a passionate belief in children initiating their own learning through play. Your role will mean leading a large SEN (Special Educational Needs) staff. You will need to have specialist knowledge of SEN and have experience of applying this knowledge, when working with young children. A large proportion of our children have English as their second language with the majority speaking Mandarin as a first language. The progress all the school's children make is excellent and a key part of the role is to make the most effective use of pupil data to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.

Post-holder Qualifications, Experience

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • At least two years post qualification experience 
  • Bachelor or above degree is required 
  • PGCE or QTS, Teaching License from non-UK countries are required 
  • SEN Qualification is required 

You must meet the following requirements for a visa or working permit:

  • 2 years teaching experience.
  • A degree related to subject taught.
  • B. Ed, Bachelors with Teaching Qualification, PGCE or PGDE, UK Qualified Teacher Status or similar teaching qualification.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Should hold a valid passport from either Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom or United States.
  • References, Medical check, Criminal background check
  • Over 24 and below 57 years of age
