Job overview

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective Early Years & Family Playworker to join our vibrant team providing the best services for the Bedworth community. 

St. Michael’s provides Children and Family Centre services for children, young people, and their families with children aged 0-19 (25 SEND). 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion for the development of children’s speech, language and communication (SLC).

The successful applicant will be able relate well to children and families and engage them in services which support the improvement of outcomes, with a particular focus on children’s speech, language and communication. 

The requirements of this post include:

•Hold a Level 2 qualification in Early Year’s 

•Have GCSE pass/ equivalent or working towards in English 

•Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in Early Years

•Have knowledge and understanding of planning and implementing the Early Year’s Foundation Stage framework (EYFS) 

•Experience and ability to work with parents and carers to engage them in their children’s learning and development 

•Have sound knowledge of safeguarding requirements 

•Have excellent communication skills 

•Have good organisational skills with the ability to take direction but also work collaboratively as part of a team

•Have a commitment and the ability to work flexibly across all CFC services 

Knowledge and experience of supporting children’s SLC development in line with Warwickshire’s Time to Talk Strategy would be an advantage
