The role

Smart Teachers are recruiting for a full-time, Early Years Class Teacher in a gorgeous two-form entry school in Hammersmith and Fulham. The school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and candidates who have worked there before have provided us with great feedback. The students are very enthusiastic, displaying positive behaviours, as well as the team of staff being supportive and welcoming!   The successful Early Years Class Teacher will be responsible for looking after a group of approximately 22 pupils who thrive with a creative, open-minded, and consistent EYFS Class teacher.  The ideal candidate will have experience within Early Years and will have a strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.  The pupils enjoy outdoor activities, using real life examples to support with their learning and using the key element of play to help aid their development and interest. The Early Years Class Teacher will be required for the whole academic year, and this role is likely to be made permanent. This would be great for someone who has taught Early years and wishes to experience a very different and unique approach to teaching. NQTs are welcome to apply, however there must be evidence of experience within Early Years.

The school

The school is extremely modern, fitted with interactive white boards in each classroom, air conditioning and colourful notice boards, reflecting on work completed by the pupils. Each classroom has access to their central playground, creating a community feel and positive approach in the student’s learning. The early years department has an open plan setting, separated by a colourful reading corner, cosy corner, sensory play corner, etc. The pupils are aware of each section and are aware of the types of activities that occur in these corners.  The school ensures that the pupils receive a well-rounded education whereby children develop intellectually, socially and physically. There is a strong focus on ensuring a caring approach to all pupils and the school have a really strong leadership team who support all staff and ensure CPD is carried to out regularly and thoroughly.
