Early Years Development Manager

Location: Huddersfield or Homebased

As Early Years Development Manager at NDNA you will develop and occasionally deliver services and provide advice and support on issues relating to childcare and education.

You will be required to provide leadership and direction for a team of early year’s advisors and work collaboratively across teams within the organisation to support the development and delivery of early years’ products and services.  You will support the delivery of recognised quality improvement schemes ‘Quality Counts’, ‘Millie’s Mark’ and the publication portfolio.  You will support Early Years Advisors to provide support to early years’ businesses from take up to accreditation. 

As Early Year Development Manager you will be the designated safeguarding person for the charity and will lead in this area of work.  

About You

To be successful in the role you will need to have a wide range of specialist expertise in early education.  

Other key skills and expeirnece you will need include:

• QTS with early years specialism or Early Years Teaching Qualification 

• Ability to write professionally and edit materials for a range of audiences 

• Use sound research based evidence to develop written material 

• Ability to work professionally and build and maintain working relationships with a range of stakeholders, partners and all types of early years provision

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Identify need for change, review services and initiate product development in response to sector needs

• Demonstrable evidence of strong team leadership, team management and people development skills

• Ability to coordinate across a range of services simultaneously within agreed timescales
