Riverside Primary School are currently expanding their provision to a new site in the heart of Barking. At Riverside Primary School we are dedicated to providing exceptional early childhood education in a nurturing and stimulating environment. We believe in fostering a love for learning from the very beginning and are committed to supporting the holistic development of each child in our care.

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join our new and exciting provision. As our Early Years Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and developing our Early Years provision from the very beginning of the School’s journey. You will work collaboratively with our experienced Head of School to deliver high-quality teaching and learning opportunities that promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development..

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate and engaging learning experiences based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Develop a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where children feel valued and respected.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and partnership working.
  • Assess children's progress and use assessment data to inform planning and differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Early Years curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's development and progress, including observations, assessments, and learning portfolios.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Completion of the Early Career Framework (ECF) or currently in the ECT phase.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
