St Michael with St John is a very successful school, committed to delivering a broad and creative curriculum and providing our pupils with access to a wide range of extra-curricular activities, with excellent resources and facilities.  Our school community was absolutely delighted to retain the Ofsted judgement of being a good school following our recent inspection in February 2017.

We are currently looking to appoint an exceptional Early Years Practitioner for January 2018 (or sooner if possible), who is well organised and highly motivated to lead our nursery and reception staff team.  We would be delighted to show you around to see our brand new Reception Unit and to see our wonderful school in action.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL EYFS LEADER WHO:   

•Can demonstrate excellent Early Years classroom practice with high expectations of children and staff.  

•Has the ability to lead and motivate our nursery and reception staff team.  

• Can implement a strategic vision for Early Years improvement. 

•Is able to lead on ensuring quality provision throughout the Early Years. 

•Has the ability to monitor the effectiveness of provision throughout the Early Years. 

•Can effectively motivate, develop and coach staff.

•Has an in-depth understanding of excellent practice in the Early Years. 

•Has enthusiasm, drive and the willingness to go that extra mile for the children and families of SMSJ. 

•Can demonstrate a commitment to team building and collaboration, as well as being able to work independently and use initiative.
