JESS Jumeriah is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, well qualified, experienced and highly committed Early Years FS teacher who, alongside the role as Year Group Leader, can deliver the full range of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum as a Class Teacher.

As an experienced school leader, the post holder must have a track record in fostering a caring and supportive atmosphere and be a passionate educator dedicated to the well-being, social and academic progress of each student. The Year Group Leader will be responsible for the line management and teaching and learning standards of the class teachers and learning support assistants within the year group. They will share responsibilities for curriculum development, display, performances and organizing some aspects of special events across the grade. All teachers will work closely with the respective SLT member, who is the pedagogical leader of provision in the Primary year groups. Teachers who are willing to commit whole heartedly to wider school life will be at a distinct advantage.

The candidate will:     

  • Proficient and experienced in teaching, ideally with experience of the EYFS Curriculum
  • Have high aspirations for all children, rooted in the belief that every child is unique and has a great capacity to learn 
  • Show the ability to build warm and positive relationships with children in their care
  • Be passionate about children learning through play and following their own interests
  • Have a proven record of creating learning environments that are highly engaging, challenging, and responsive to the needs of all children
  • Be committed to achieving the very best for every child in our school and be relentless in the pursuit of excellence
  • Be a passionate, enthusiastic leader who demonstrates the ability to inspire and challenge a highly experienced and committed team 
  • Demonstrated capabilities as a year group leader or middle level leader is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in staff development
  • Have excellent, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.     
  • Have Integrity and the ability to inspire trust and confidence when dealing with confidential issues.     
  • Be able to work effectively under pressure, prioritise appropriately and meet deadlines
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Have a growth mind set and be prepared to take risks and ‘have a go’ 
  • Be able to analyse data and set in place appropriate support and interventions
  • Contribute positively to all aspects of school life
  • Be committed to equal opportunities for all and the safeguarding and welfare of young people
  • Be able to confidently manage challenging conversations with parents and staff
