Diamond International School of Vientiane is an Early Years/Primary School bringing an IB curriculum to expats and Laos families situated in Vientiane Laos.  

We are looking for a Primary Years Coordinator, as well as a Head Teacher, who would like to become a part of the Founding Team.  These positions will be key to leading motivation with other educators in our team to forge a learning environment that will be progressive, relevant, and of a high caliber.  The goal of our Founding Team being to organize a stimulating environment for student centered learning experiences.  

We are looking for leadership that is enthusiastic and accommodating to provide optimal support and guidance as a member of our SLT in collaborating with educators.  The goal is of our Leadership Team is to create an ideal working environment for our Educators and Staff to provide the best learning experiences for our students.  The school is a new, purpose built facility that will be well resourced with ample and well-designed learning spaces.  Our leadership team will be responsible for setting the tone that makes our school a relevant place for education in both Vientiane and the region.  We have strong backing by members of the IB organization team as well as solid support by those backing this initiative where the priority is quality.

Laos is one of South East Asia’s hidden secrets.  With lovely scenery, Vientiane and the areas surrounding have many places of interest.  Laos’s culture is relaxed and people are kind and accommodating.  The cost of living is low so educators joining our team have fantastic saving potential where travel to other superb vacation spots in the region is convenient and inexpensive.

Those in our Founding Team will share ideas on what is ideal in a learning environment to develop a school that carries with it the legacy of the Educators and Educator Leaders that were integral in creating our community of learning.

Diamond International School of Vientiane is a school situated in the capitol city of Laos.

The school is an IB candidate school that is in its Foundation Stage. The school will focus on holistic education for its students.  Learning will be Reggio-Emilia inspired with Experiential Learning opportunities to facilitate student centered, inquiry based, education.   The school will build character and confidence as well as relevant capabilities to prepare students for 21st Century priorities in a global society.

Our purpose built facilities are very well equipped to support educators in facilitating meaningful learning.   Our school will start with its Early Years Program and Early Elementary to then expand into a full Primary, Middle School, and finally High School.

Laos culture is a beautiful culture with relaxed and gracious people.   In a country situated within a balance of natural and historical scenery, it has access to a full array of modern conveniences while maintaining a provincial charm.   It is a very welcoming place to live and work for educators with varying interests.
