The Role

Early Years Lead Practitioner, 40 hours a week, 44 weeks per year (term time plus)

We are seeking to appoint an Early Years Lead Practitioner, to oversee the quality of the early education for the children in the nursery and deliver effectively the group’s high educational standards. This role will focus on promoting teaching and learning to ensure that children progress in their development to achieve their full potential and become ready for school

It is a leadership role that includes: a) setting accurate intentions for the curriculum that has been planned for the children (intent), b) overseeing the implementation and teaching strategies used in the classroom (implementation) and c) measuring the impact of the curriculum to ensure children are progressing in their learning (impact).

The salary offered to the successful candidate will be in line with the Alpha Plus pay scale and commensurate with skills and experience.

The School

Falcons School for Girls (which incorporates the co-educational Peregrines Nursery for 2 and 4 year olds) provides independent education for girls aged four to eleven years.

We are a warm and caring school, taking great pride in developing our children into happy, confident individuals. We have high expectations of our pupils, with learning tailored to individual needs, and our Year 6 girls win places at the country’s top Day and Boarding Senior schools, leaving Falcons School for Girls as resourceful, self-aware and inquisitive individuals.
