Job overview

Learning is an art.

Have you got the magical touch to work with our youngest stars?

Take a look at our name. It says everything about Star Academy. It says we consider all of our children can be stars. It says that we dare to dream. It says that we believe learning can make every child’s ambitions come alive and release their true potential to reach unimaginable heights.

We are proud to be part of Academy Transformation Trust, and although we are rated Good by Ofsted, we are continuing to improve as we strive for Outstanding. We want you to help us make it happen. From Nursery to Year 6, we passionately believe in expanding our pupils’ horizons. That’s why we are an RSC Associate school and a Royal Academy of Engineering STEM school.

If you can bring lessons to life and unlock the star in our children, we can offer you:

  • A warm, welcoming teaching team who support and inspire each other.
  • Continual professional development.
  • A creative and innovative environment.
  • Children who are extremely enthusiastic to learn.
  • A forward-thinking trust that values progressive thinking.

To start the journey, tell us about yourself. Share your vision of education. Explain how you can work with our Principal and Vice Principal to make things better for everybody, every day. In return, we’ll tell you how we can make you shine and help you take your career anywhere within the Trust’s 24 academies.

We strongly advise you to visit our academy and see what makes us so special, please contact Mrs J Brammer by telephone: 01782 235055 or email: j.brammer@staracademy.attrust.org.uk

Or if you’re ready to apply right now, please complete an online application at www.academytransformationtrust.co.uk/vacancies

Message from our Principal

As Principal at Star Academy, Sandyford I would like to introduce you to our Academy, which will provide you with an insight into what we do and the commitment we have to our community as a whole.

Star Academy is set in the heart of a diverse community where the shared motto is ‘Desire to learn, learn to achieve’.

Our Vision is underpinned by four key behaviour values: Smart/Safe, Tolerant, Ambitious, Resilient.

Daily routines work to embed these four values in order to ensure that our children grow not only academically, but with the strength of character that will lead to a successful future as a valued and healthy member of society.

The academy seeks to ensure that all stakeholders are empowered to achieve the highest of expectations through the provision of a bespoke, lively and exciting, knowledge-based curriculum that promotes enquiry and exploration, risk-taking and resilience. The curriculum nurtures the desire to achieve the very best - regardless of the children’s different starting points. Our broad curriculum is enriched with a huge variety of experiences which brings learning alive and makes precious memories.

If you would like to learn more about Star Academy, please visit our website and if you decide that this is where you would like to be, please feel free to arrange a visit, where you will be welcomed with open arms to experience the joy and excitement that is Star Academy.
