Highbury Nursery is in the heart of highbury, with highbury fields and local shops within a 5-10 minute walk away, and the arsenal stadium and station 5 minutes away.

The staff work hard to challenge children and provide a nurturing environment to enhance learning to support and extend individual interests. We are a charity who fundraise throughout the year through raffles, events including Carnival, an Easter Bunny Hop and the Christmas party. The money raised then goes back into the nursery on children’s resources and trips. We encourage outings regularly and these are planned according to current interests of the children in the nursery, following planning in the moment, and celebrations of cultural events including Chinese New Year and Diwali. We are a diverse setting inclusive of all cultures and festivals celebrated by the families in the nursery.

Highbury Nursery is looking for a fun and dynamic practitioner with a minimum of Level 3 qualification, ideal if you have an understanding of Planning in the moment and the EYFS. Previous experience is desirable.

The successful applicant will provide an emotional secure, warm, stimulating and safe environment appropriate to the needs of individual children, they will have the ability to educate and provide an enabling environment promoting excellent learning opportunities for all the children. They will understand the value of outdoors and working in an all weather nursery.

We offer a wide range of training which are done offsite at a training centre, online or delivered here at the nursery. We support and encourage our staff to take up any training based on their interests and offer new opportunities throughout their time here to support them in taking on more challenges and responsibilities. As you develop, widen your skills and progress there will be opportunities for a review of salary. We offer weekly wellness sessions to staff and support wellbeing. For long standing employees we offer some benefits such as private healthcare insurance after a minimum of 5 years of employment with us as well as extra annual leave days

Schedule:

·        8 hour shift including paid lunch break

·       28 days holidays, excluding Bank holidays

·        Monday to Friday

·        No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

·        London, N5 1TL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

·        Nursery: 1 year (preferred)
