We are currently looking for Maternity cover for an Early Years Practitioner to join our team in Teignmouth, Devon.

The successful candidate will provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children in the setting.

About the Position


Contract Type: Full time, Maternity Cover, All Year Round

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm

Salary: Up to £21,000

Start Date: Immediate Start

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • To effectively deliver the EYFS ensuring that the individual needs and interest of children in the setting are met (in conjunction with other team members).
  • To keep records of your key children’s development and achievements and share with parents, carers, and other key adults in the child’s life.
  • To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents / carers to facilitate day-to-day caring and early learning needs
  • To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children having an awareness of any learning profiles, disabilities, family cultures and medical histories.
  • Part of this role will involve safeguarding responsibilities including the reporting of any safeguarding concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Team

About you

  • Minimum relevant and recognised Level 3 Qualification
  • Experience in Early Years settings
  • Experience and understanding of implementation of EYFS requirements
  • Knowledge of strategies for planning implementation and assessment of learning and development

Trinity School is an independent, co-educational, all-through school for children aged 3-19 years old. It is situated in Teignmouth, Devon, and has approximately 490 day and boarding pupils. Bursaries and scholarships are available.

Trinity School was founded in 1979. It is a Christian school built on joint Anglican and Roman Catholic foundations. Pupils of all faiths and none are welcome in the school, which follows a Christian ethos in all aspects of school life.
