Al Karamah School and Training Institute is a high-profile school for Emirati students, offering world-leading education and behavioural support.  Based in Abu Dhabi, our aim is to make a real and lasting difference for every young person we support.  The school (3 – 19 Years) and the Training Institute (15 – 25 years) has been developed for children and young people on the autistic spectrum, who range from low to high functioning.

Al Karamah School opened in January 2019 and is designed drawing on our experience of creating a unique and engaging learning environment which is the hub for to child-centred learning.  With a dedicated therapyy team  who support blended learning with the teaching team you would have the opportunity to join a staff team focused on the best possible outcomes for every child.  

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and inspirational Senior Teacher with proven track records in achieving the very highest standards with SEN students in Early Years.  You will be a person with aspiration and be able to see the possibilities of all our exceptional learners, supporting a provision that enables our students to thrive.

Experience of working in an SEN/ASC school as well as experience with Early Years is desirable but not essential, if applicants have relevant experience, a desire to become an Early Years ASC expert and really want to make a difference to children’s life.  

You should be able to demonstrate a real passion for SEN / Autism.

Essential requirements: 

  • BA Education, Special Education or a relevant degree with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education 
  • Early Years’ experience 
  • Post Graduate Certificate or Diploma in SEN or Leadership, or NPQSL / NPQH
  • Qualified Teacher Status 
  • Minimum of 5 years teaching experience


Desirable: 

  • Experience teaching children with autism and/or other special educational needs 
  • CACHE (Level 3) or similar
