About the school:
Traill International School is one of Bangkok’s longest established and most successful schools with a heritage spanning over 50 years. We are an Early Years to Year 13 through school providing the English National Curriculum throughout our Early Years Foundation stage into Key Stages 1,2,3 and then IGCSE and A Levels. We believe a first class education will expand students’ choices and enrich their experiences, allowing them to fulfill their potential and make the most of life's opportunities. We work hand-in-hand with our students to maximise their potential and as a result our examination results are well above the national average for the UK and are better than most comparable international schools. Our students are regular recipients of CIE International Awards amongst many other prestigious accolades and so when students come to graduate from trail, they are in the best possible position to secure scholarships at some of the finest universities in the world.
The welfare of the students and staff is at the heart of everything we do at Traill and from the moment you enter our doors, you are aware of the school’s welcoming atmosphere. The founders of the school set out to create a school where children received an excellent academic education set against the background of a warm and supportive atmosphere. This is a successful formula which has made us the school we are today. Our school motto is “Everyone is someone at Traill” and this says everything you need to know about the value we place on each and everyone here.
We are fully accredited by Education Development Trust (EDT), British Schools Overseas (BSO) and Sor Mor Sor (Department of Education in Thailand). We are also members of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA), Bangkok International Schools Activities Conference (BISAC) and Thailand International Schools Activities Conference (TISAC).
What we are looking for:
As a growing school we are delighted to be able to invite candidates to apply for the post of Head of Early Years. We are looking for an energetic, experienced person who is passionate about providing a child-centred Early Years curriculum, where children can confidently develop towards achieving their Early Learning Goals. A successful candidate should be sympathetic to the needs of students for whom English may not be their first language, but where children demonstrate the inclusive and welcoming ethos the school encompasses. As EYFS lead within the school, you will be working alongside the Head of Primary to ensure smooth transitions and strong progress across the Foundation stage. The EYFS setting within school is a child initiated setting where provisions include sand and water areas, role play corner, construction, mathematical learning areas and numerous indoor and outdoor writing areas. Parents are extremely supportive within the school and there is regular communication through our open door policy, workshops and guidance sessions over the school year. Familiarity with Tapestry would be an advantage.
Remuneration will be competitive.
We welcome applications from those who are passionate about education and have the skills and experience to make a significant impact on our students learning.
