Red Kite Schools Trust is a multi-academy trust based in Chesham.  It currently consists of three schools, one secondary (Chesham Grammar School) and two primary schools (Ivingswood Academy and Waterside Primary Academy).

Waterside Primary Academy has a vacancy for a well-qualified and enthusiastic part-time Early Years Teacher to join a team of committed and supportive colleagues, all of whom are dedicated to providing children with the best possible education.  

The successful candidate will need: 

  • To inspire children with enthusiasm and a love of learning 
  • To have genuine commitment to provision within a play based curriculum 
  • To organise the classroom environment to encourage a positive learning experience full of practical opportunities to support children’s learning 
  • To take responsibility for the progress of all children in his/her class with the ability to reflect on data and plan appropriate intervention so that children make rapid and sustained progress
  • To embed positive behaviour strategies within his/her classroom practice 
  • To communicate and consult effectively with the parents of all children
  • To ensure that wide ranges of role play activities are at the very heart of the children’s education
  • To ensure the appropriate balance of teacher led and child initiated activities
  • To assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils in line with the requirements of the EYFS framework
  • To be a highly effective communicator
  • To keep up to date with changes and developments in education
