Our schools are united by one philosophy—we are ambitious for our students, our people and family of schools. This means that we want every student to achieve more than may have ever thought possible, which we ensure through personalised learning enhanced with unique global opportunities.

About our school

Opened in September 2014, Nord Anglia International School has quickly established itself as a leading school known for high quality of teaching and learning. The school has three campuses: Lam Tin houses Primary and Secondary Schools (Year 1-11, growing to Year 13 by 2019); Sai Kung and Tai Tam are pre-schools for Nursery, Reception and Year 1.

The English National Curriculum is delivered tailored to our context, followed by IGCSE and IB Diploma courses.  Uniquely, Art, Music, Drama, P.E. and Mandarin are all delivered by specialist teachers from age 3 upwards.  There is a strong and vibrant House system which supports our Pastoral care aims and our Be Ambitious philosophy for success, academically, socially and personally.

Professional development is highly valued with extensive in-house and external opportunities including Middle and Senior Leadership training and enthusiastic Professional Learning communities. You will be joining a highly talented, supportive and collaborative body of staff who are open to new ideas and to change.

Our Schools

Each Nord Anglia Education school is unique in character and designed to meet the needs of its community. We believe that being part of our family of 48 schools gives them a special advantage. Working together, we can achieve more than we can individually. Our schools have a wide range of resources and support to enhance our students’ success. We also create unique opportunities to benefit our students and people such as the Global Campus, Nord Anglia University, and our collaborations with The Juilliard School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and King’s College London.

About the role

We’ll look to you to promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are aligned to our school’s curriculum and creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved. You will foster an environment of respect within the classroom, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion.

About you

Able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will bring a degree, a recognised teaching qualification and considerable teaching experience. Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative practice to raise achievement.

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions.

Applicants applying for Foundation Stage positions should be aware that the Hong Kong Education Department requires that all Foundation Stage teachers’ qualification certificates clearly state that they have received specialist early years/childhood or training for 3-5 year old, or 3- 7 year old children.

Teachers holding a General Primary QTS are not permitted to teach Foundation Stage in Hong Kong, regardless of previous early years’ experience.
