The British American Pre-School and the Bilingual European School prepare children aged 2 to 14 to be ”travelers of the world”, providing a unique educational journey that successfully lays the groundwork to meet the challenges of tomorrow, developing their natural talents both in English and Italian. BAPS, founded in 1987, offers a full immersion English programme that combines the inquiry-based and child-centered educational philosophy with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
BAPS that adopts a “play-based learning” approach, provides children with the necessary knowledge and skills for a smooth transition to the BES bilingual programme. BES, founded in 1999, integrates the Italian Ministerial programme with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate, offering a bilingual education of excellence with a global perspective. At BES, every student is a unique and special individual engaged in hands-on, minds-on learning activities in line with the constructivist approach. BAPS and BES proudly joined Globeducate in 2021, combining the group’s forward-looking project with the school’s unique model of integrated cognitive bilingualism, recognized by an international team of researchers from the Goethe University Frankfurt as a role model for bilingualism in Europe and all over the world. The Globeducate network operates in more than 55 bilingual and international schools in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. It is one of the four largest private school groups in the world with an international presence and the largest of its kind on the European continent with more than 25.000 students from over 60 different countries, and growing rapidly. Globeducate's mission is to prepare each student to become a global citizen that can shape the world and is well-aligned to the student-centered approach at BAPS and BES.

Due to the large number of applications only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

About The Bilingual European School of Milan

The Bilingual European School of Milan is currently in its sixteenth year of operation. Initially established in 1999, as a natural continuation of the British American pre-school, with which it shares a building, the Bilingual European School has grown rapidly over the years.

In its first year, the school opened with just 12 elementary students and two staff. The student enrolment for the current school year stands at over 364 and the number of teaching staff, at over forty.

In addition to the phenomenal student growth in the elementary school and the development of a broader and more balanced curriculum, the school has also introduced a middle school. At the start of the 2006 – 2007 school year, BES opened its doors to its first class of sixteen middle school students.
