Hawkesdown House is a thriving independent pre-preparatory school for boys aged three to eight situated in Kensington.

The Early Years Foundation Stage at Hawkesdown House is a loving, happy, nurturing time for all the boys in our care. Our classrooms are well-resourced through a range of technological resources to enhance the learning experience as well as practical resources to support kinaesthetic learning. We provide an environment that understands and supports each individual boy's talents and interests and stimulates their curiosity and the desire to learn and explore their world. We understand what a key time this in a child's development and how important it is to provide a curriculum that excites a joy of learning. The Early Years Stage at Hawkesdown House uses a combination of play, child and teacher led activities, games, and music, to teach.

The school is looking to recruit an exceptional, enthusiastic and talented Early Years Teacher for January 2017, to cover maternity leave in a Reception class.

You will be passionate about children's learning and committed to working with and learning alongside other professionals. You will be inspirational, able to demonstrate excellent classroom practice and have an assured and confident classroom manner. You will also be committed to maintaining high standards and expectations.

Hawkesdown House is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced disclosure from the DBS and two references.

Hawkesdown House is an independent prep school for girls and boys aged 4 – 11 with a Nursery for children aged 3 and The Walnut Tree Nursery for children aged 2.
