A prestigious school in the north of Derby city is looking for an Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant to take on a full time position at the school for 5 days per week. The position will begin in January 2019 and will last from 12 to 24 weeks, dependent on the schools needs and whether the candidate fits in with the school and its way of teaching. This includes fitting in with the school’s ethos of encouraging a love of learning, developing self-confidence and a desire to contribute to the common good. 

The school want someone who is willing to be involved from day one and won’t struggle to fit in with the staff and adapt to their more holistic approach of teaching. The site has ample parking for members of staff and also provides hot lunches for teachers and teaching assistants on a Friday. The school are after someone who is willing to commit to the children in their care and fulfil the role for the duration of the position.

The school has a very well-known reputation for academic performance and is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for the children and push them to excel. Any successful candidate will most likely be asked to do at least one day of supply work at the school before January as a way of interviewing them and seeing if they fit in or work well with the school.

To register with us, all candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview, hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce on the Update Service and also gain references to cover the last 2 years. Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.
