Ark Priory and Ark Byron Academy are two form entry primary schools situated in brand-new facilities in Acton. Ark Priory opened in 2013 and were graded Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ in all categories in 2015, a major achievement in just two years. Ark Byron recently opened in September 2015 and are already on their way to becoming an outstanding school in the community.
Both academies are well oversubscribed, are highly regarded, and enjoy a supportive, caring parent community. Although currently based in the same building, Next year Ark Byron will move a short distance away to a brand new, purpose-built building in a fantastic park setting - almost unheard of for inner London!
As part of our expansion programme, we are looking for two experienced and bright EYFS Teaching Assistants to join our team for a April 2017 start. The role would ideally be suited to someone looking to achieve a greater level of mastery in EYFS, or someone wishing to move into a teaching position in the near-future (with both schools’ providers of the Schools Direct programme).
Our ideal candidate will:
· Have a strong knowledge of early years and evidence of prior experience
· Have a strong grasp of both written and spoken English
· RWInc or phonics teaching knowledge (desirable)
· Strong IT skills
· Be a graduate in a relevant field (desirable)
· Believe in the potential of every child and be committed to seeing that every child reaches that potential.
· Be able to inspire learning beyond the classroom, ensuring that learning doesn’t stop once the school day ends
· Possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of Acton residents.

Ark Byron Primary Academy is a co-educational free school located in Ealing, West London. This is an exciting time for Ark Byron, as we will be moving to a brand new building in early 2018.

Curriculum
Ark Byron Primary Academy is committed to providing a curriculum that inspires and excites our pupils to achieve excellence and motivates them to succeed. We seek to ensure that pupils develop solid skills in English and maths, with these lessons run for every child every day. Teachers aim for pupils have a strong grounding in foundation subjects before they start to expand their interest into other areas.
