 Experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant

Permanent

27.5 hours per week (term-time)

8:35am – 3:25pm*  Mon–Fri *this includes 10 minutes either side of the day working day 

LBR Scale 2  Point 03-04

£14.77 to £14.98 per hour

Applicants must have experience of working in Early Years and GCSE (A*-C) standard or equivalent in English and Mathematics. GCSE Grades MUST be stated on the application form and proof will be requested at interview.

We seek an Early Years Teaching Support Assistant who has the following attributes;

Good communication skills, both written and oral, in a variety of situations.

Ability to work co-operatively with others.

Ability to display pupil work.

Ability to work with individual pupils or small groups in mainstream.

Ability to work effectively with teachers and support staff.

Ability to manage children’s behaviour in a positive manner.

Good organisational skills.

Able to support self-help skills (eg toileting) and to administer medication.

Ability to think on your feet.

Ability to make teaching resources.

Ability to encourage and develop communication and pupils’ social skills.

Ability to use initiative within ethos of the team.

Ability to apply the school behaviour management system effectively.

Ability to monitor, record and make basic assessments about pupil progress.

Good ICT Skills.
