Start date: September 2024

Inspiration Trust is looking to appoint an East Maths Community Teacher and Maths Associate Standards Leader. The Trust is at an exciting point in its maths development as, alongside the UEA, the Trust has been awarded a significant grant to establish an East Maths Community across schools in Norfolk. This resource and programme development role is key to the East Maths Community programme and is ideal for a gifted mathematician wanted to develop new inspirational ideas to challenge and inspire young people from KS3 through KS4 into KS5 and beyond. The strong and cohesive central maths team is looking to expand to provide greater support to our schools and beyond. We have one of the country's first maths and science specialist sixth forms and the Angles Maths Hub is based in our trust.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a significant part beyond Inspiration Trust schools, taking the development and resourcing alongside the design and implementation of our East Maths Community programme. The role involves the design and creation of enrichment and extension materials for local schools to significantly improve outcomes at grade7+ GCSE. In addition, all members of the central maths team offer outreach support to schools through the Maths Hub programme. The variety of opportunities on offer make this a very exciting role for someone who wants to make a difference to maths education in Norfolk and beyond.

Can you be integral to our maths strategy and as part of the wider maths team take a leading role in our central team. A substantial part of the role will include teaching, across Norfolk and North Suffolk, and leading high-quality intervention and revision. The successful candidate will understand that high impact teaching is informed by effective curriculum design. We are seeking a secondary trained leader who can not only deliver this in their own classroom, but who can lead on this across the Trust and coach and support other teachers and also developing curriculum resources.

While working in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive CPD opportunities including role relevant National Professional Qualification
