DBSJP offer their primary and secondary students a wide range of free Extra Curricular and After School Activities that ensure boosting students' social skills and self-development.

The ECA & ASA Coordinator's role is to organise and manage the Extra-Curricular Activity and After School Activity Programmes in the Primary and Secondary schools. As a member of the Academic Administration Team, you will be responsible for the internal and external coordination and communication of the ECA and ASA programme, working with staff, parents and external agencies to support the smooth running of both.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Sole responsibility for the coordination of the whole school ECA/ASA programme
  • Liaise with the Senior Leadership Team and the teaching staff to populate the ECA programme on a termly basis
  • Liaise with the Director of Sport to confirm squads on a termly basis
  • Liaise with external providers to populate the ASA programme on a termly basis, in conjunction with the Operations Manager
  • Liaise with the Marketing Department to ensure all ECA/ASA promotional material are kept up to date
  • Apply to the KHDA for ECA/ASA approvals on a termly basis
  • Use the school approved ECA sign-up system to input, manage and administer ECAs
  • Create and populate the ECA/ASA handbook for parents
  • Communicate all ECA/ASA information to parents and staff
  • Organise the student collection procedures and communicate to staff and parents
  • Be present at the start and end of the ECAs/ASAs to ensure all children are registered and collected safely
  • Coordinate the end of day arrangements for all ECA/ASAs
  • Assist with arranging cover for absent teachers during ECAs
  • Create and distribute all signage needed for ECA/ASAs
  • Work with the Operations Manager to seek new ASA opportunities to keep ASA offering fresh
  • Supporting parents/ communicating with parents to resolve issues/concerns
  • Collecting and acting upon feedback from the community
  • Resource orders
  • Managing ECA registers


Person Specification:

Education: Good level of Education, ideally Bachelors degree holder with excellent written and spoken English

Experience: A minimum of 2 years working in a similar field

  • Previously worked in an Educational environment
