The school was founded in 1963 as one of Africa’s first multi-racial schools, and its Kamhlaba title meaning ‘all of one world’ was conferred on the school in 1967 by His Majesty King Sobhuza II. Waterford offers education to Forms 1 to 5, with Form 5 sitting the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) qualification, followed by two years dedicated to the International Baccalaureate.
