Located on the Indian Ocean coast of the United Arab Emirates, 140 kilometres from Dubai, at the foot of the Hajar Mountains. Fujairah has a scenic beauty and wonderful beaches. The school is non-profit, non-selective and caters for 700 students aged 4-18 years. 90 % of these are from Arabic speaking backgrounds with 85 % of them being Emirati. The school was established in 1982 by the government of Fujairah as a non-profit organization. The school follows an adapted National Curriculum and students take GCSE and GCE A levels.
The school is an accredited member of the British Schools in the Middle East Association and has also been awarded British Schools Overseas status by the Department for Education in England.
We welcome applications from a single unaccompanied teacher or married teaching couples with experience of the UK system of education. Applicants require a first degree and a P.G.C.E. from a British university, either single honours or joint honours. Recent experience of teaching GCSE and GCE A level courses are required and a proven successful record in GCSE and GCE A level results.
