Job overview

Location: Head Office in Reading and schools across South East England

Anthem is a multi-academy trust serving over 8,000 children and young people in 16 schools across the East Midlands, London and Thames Valley. We are supported by Education Development Trust, an international company with charitable status that has been providing a range of education services all over the world for over 50 years.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Education Director to join our Education Executive Team. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic individual with a successful track record as a Headteacher or Principal who can take responsibility for a group of four secondary schools in London and the South East and contribute to the strategic development of the Trust. The team has ambitions to work cross-phase, so our ideal candidate is someone with secondary school expertise who is also interested in developing their understanding of primary education.

As an Anthem Education Director, you will work alongside schools’ leadership teams and local governing bodies, playing a pivotal role in raising standards yet further so that they all become great places to work, study and flourish. As part of the Trust’s Education Executive Team, you will help to shape policy, practice, strategic planning and future growth at an exciting time in Anthem’s development.

We are committed to being a place where everyone can thrive, so as part of our senior executive team, you can look forward to high-quality, bespoke professional development opportunities, the chance to work as part of an innovative and collaborative team and a competitive salary package.

Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to arrange an informal discussion with the Anthem Chief Executive, Andy Yarrow, in the first instance. This can be arranged by contacting his Executive Assistant, Lasma Geide on 01189 021637 or by email: lgeide@anthemtrust.uk

The closing date for applications is Monday 24th February at 9.00am.

Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held from week commencing Monday 2nd March.
