Priory have an exciting opportunity for an Education Director to join our UK team and contribute to the growth of our market-leading business as we strive to become, as part of Median, the leading European provider of high-quality mental health and medical rehabilitative services. 

Reporting directly to the Chief Quality Officer, you will be strategically and operationally accountable for the performance of Education division from a people, quality and financial perspective. You will be responsible for delivering high quality, safe and effective services ensuring regulatory compliance as a non-negotiable minimum standard, providing strategic direction to deliver strong financial performance and future growth, and creating an open and honest culture where people feel like they belong.

You will lead our Child and Adolescent Mental Health services (CAMHs) and oversee delivery of education in those services, who already have Head Teachers in position. This role will give the post holder the opportunity to grow and develop in an area that is part of the growth plan for Priory. You will be supported by a dedicated senior leadership team with functional experts from finance, quality, HR, talent acquisition and service development as well as other central corporate functions.     

Experience Required:

  • Significant previous leadership experience within education, ideally across multi-site operations
  • SEN sector experience
  • Demonstrable experience of operating at a senior level, with extensive managerial experience across large, dispersed teams
  • Successful previous experience of commercial accountability for financial performance
  • Strong record of innovation and adaptability to deliver continuous improvement 
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulatory as this role acts as the nominated individual for OFSTED
  • Evidence of building strong relationships with external stakeholders such as commissioners and regulators
  • Working through, managing and delivering change as we move education services back into the business from an outsourced provider
