PO5 | $116,952 – $132,078 + super

Toowoomba Catholic Schools (TCS) is a system of 31 primary, secondary, and P-12 schools located in Toowoomba, and across the Darling Downs and South West Queensland.

The Role

You will work collaboratively, as part of the Teaching and Learning Directorate, to support the implementation of key strategies that enhance leadership and teaching in the area of numeracy. The role will see you provide expert advice in numeracy across Teaching and Learning and schools, as well as bring a secondary focus to the Diocesan Maths Improvement Strategy.

This opportunity will provide you with a well rounded experience of Teaching and Learning across all of our secondary schools. You will further develop a diverse skill set relevant to various leadership positions across Toowoomba Catholic Schools. 

Please note this role requires work over school holiday periods and has annual leave entitlements.

Your Experience

Essential 

  • tertiary qualification in education and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in secondary teaching or 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • hold, or be eligible to hold, registration as a teacher in Queensland
  • desire and willingness to provide services in rural and remote school communities
  • effective relationship building and influencing skills
  • demonstrated experience working with the Microsoft suite of products
  • advanced interpersonal and communication skills
  • empathy with the values and ethos of the Catholic faith

 Desirable 

  • coaching and/or leadership experience in a secondary educational setting
  • experience in implementation of the 21st Century skills in Australian Curriculum Mathematics and Numeracy General Capability
  • masters in the relevant area
