South Hunsley School and Sixth Form College are seeking to recruit to the role of Education Welfare Officer. You will work closely with Academy staff and other agencies to support student attendance. 

What we require from you:

• Are you passionate about providing attendance and/or advice and in depth guidance to students on a one to one basis?

• Are you able to take supportive/remedial action in respect of individual absentees to secure their regular attendance at school or other education provision?

• Are you a self-starter who is highly organised and keen to develop yourself in a supportive and challenging environment?

• Can you monitor, record and respond to persistent absence and unauthorised absence and undertake the preparation of paperwork required to refer cases to the legal section of the Education Welfare Service?

• Would you like the opportunity to build relationships with parents and the wider community and contribute to the success of our school?
